JOB TITLE: Sheet Metal Structures Assembly - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Pinellas Park, FL
PAY RATE: $22-27/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.
Job Details:
Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Training: Contractor will train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift, receiving a 6% shift differential upon change.
Start date: 10/20/25 candidates must be available to start on this date. No relocation assistance provided.
Shift: 2nd (Mon-Thurs, 4:00 PM 2:30 AM EST)

Summary:
Manufacture, assemble, and refurbish aircraft parts and structures (e.g., F-16 frames, F-35 canopies, C-130 sub-assemblies).
Perform controlled tooling and build-to-print assemblies.
Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures; perform part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working.
Measure parts and verify dimensions; modify assemblies to incorporate changes or repairs.
Work from blueprints, drawings, specifications, and shop orders.
Monitor quality, develop corrective actions, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma required.
3+ years of sheet metal assembly/aircraft sheet metal experience.
Proficiency with hand tools (torque wrenches, drills, riveting tools, inspection tools, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings or instructions.
Previous experience as an Assembler and/or Aircraft Structures Mechanic preferred.
Experience on F-16, C-130, or F-35 aircraft structures is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team; effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.
Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and interpret technical data.
Competent with computers and systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
