Facilities Plant Engineer

Schedule: Monday–Friday; 1st shift (start between 6–8 AM) – 3 PM
Starting Pay: $46.41 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Facilities Plant Engineer to support our partner, a leader in the aerospace industry, during a major site expansion for the 787 Dreamliner program. In this role, you’ll be a critical part of the Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) Engineering team, supporting building automation systems, infrastructure projects, and reliability engineering efforts that keep advanced aerospace production running smoothly.

Administer and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and related controls.
Provide technical support for facilities equipment, utility systems, and infrastructure installations.
Lead reactive equipment repairs while supporting planning, design, and construction projects.
Conduct root cause analysis, condition-based maintenance, and reliability assessments to maximize asset performance.
Translate customer requirements into design documents, specifications, and project scopes.
Support construction efforts, review contractor proposals, and collaborate with government/regulatory agencies.
Maintain accurate drawing archives and ensure compliance with building codes and engineering standards.
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify infrastructure improvements and drive site-wide efficiencies.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
4+ years of relevant work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
2+ years supporting, troubleshooting, or administrating BAS, SCADA systems, or industrial lighting controls.
2+ years working in engineering, facilities, or maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Ability to work 100% onsite in North Charleston, SC.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
2+ years troubleshooting, programming, or using TRANE, Honeywell, or Johnson Controls BAS.
Experience with nLight and/or Payne Sparkman control systems.
Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Hands-on experience with reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical building systems.
