Systems Architecture Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift, 4/10’s (8AM–6:30PM)
Pay Starting at: $69.87 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Systems Engineer to partner with a leader in the aerospace industry on cutting-edge defense programs. In this role, you will contribute to safeguarding our nation by supporting advanced missile defense systems that protect the United States and its allies worldwide. As a Systems Engineer, you will:
Collaborate with industry partners to assess and improve the performance of the Ballistic Missile Defense System.
Evaluate systems across various scenarios and architectures to optimize mission effectiveness.
Develop and refine modeling, simulation, and analysis tools to address evolving threats.
Support integration, requirements management, and system architecture development.
Lead trade studies and performance analyses to define technical solutions.
Drive system engineering integration, testing, and analysis approaches.
Utilize tools such as CAMEO, DOORS, MATLAB, Python, and JAVA to support mission-critical analysis.
Execute and document integration/test activities while recommending process improvements.
Work 100% onsite at one of the listed locations, collaborating closely with experts across engineering domains.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering (e.g., systems design, architecture, integration, requirements, or test).
Strong analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills.
This position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens.
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of related experience or advanced degree with equivalent background.
Knowledge of DoD and missile defense command and control systems.
Experience in system analysis, capability assessments, and iterative product development using Agile practices.
Hands-on experience with verification of requirements and automated test development.
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, JAVA, or similar for numerical modeling or tool development.
Familiarity with MBSE tools such as CAMEO, DOORS, or System Architect.
Bachelor’s degree and 9 or more years of related experience,
Master’s degree with 7 or more years of related experience, or
PhD with 4 or more years of related experience.
Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree must be from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
