About the Role:
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a leading aviation industry innovator, is seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Quality Operations Specialist to join our Fort Worth team. This role is vital in ensuring manufacturing processes and inspection methods not only meet but exceed customer quality expectations. You’ll directly influence product excellence across new aircraft development, legacy programs, and advanced quality initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and revise First Article Inspection (FAI) Plans and Quality Inspection Instructions (QIIs) for complex composite, machined, and rotor system components.
Serve as a Planning Review Board member for quality decisions.
Ensure configuration management compliance via audits, evaluations, and tracking.
Collaborate with end users, customers, and subcontractors to address quality issues.
Support new aircraft development, legacy products, and implementation of advanced quality technologies.
Translate technical data into actionable manufacturing and quality plans.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree or relevant technical training/experience.
Minimum 5 years of quality experience, preferably in aerospace, or equivalent aviation manufacturing planning experience.
Extensive GD&T knowledge applied to machined and composite parts.
Strong understanding of AS9100/AS9102 standards and FAI planning.
Proficiency in creating Quality Inspection Instructions and identifying inspection points within planning routes.
Ability to extract and interpret complex models in Catia V6 & 3DX for advanced quality planning.
Experience navigating MES systems such as CAMS, SAP ECC, and SAP PEO.
Excellent communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in advanced quality planning for aerospace assemblies.
Familiarity with implementing cutting-edge quality technologies and process improvements.
