Starting Pay: $56.78 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Early to Mid-Career Systems Engineer to support our partner, a global leader in aerospace. In this role, you’ll join the Modeling & Simulation team, developing systems engineering processes and tools that provide digital sustainment, decision support, and trade-study analysis across the product lifecycle. Your work will directly impact the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of government services programs while helping customers make better-informed decisions through cutting-edge simulation technology.

Develop, document, and verify customer requirements to define stakeholder scenarios for analysis.
Assess operational availability, mission effectiveness, and lifecycle costs to evaluate sustainment strategies.
Select, configure, and implement analysis models aligned with customer requirements.
Produce actionable insights through trade studies on supply chain, logistics, mission operations, and cost models.
Present findings and decision-support dashboards to customers in the Virtual Sustainment Center (VSC).
Support model development, optimization, and integration of new capabilities into the simulation suite.
Contribute to roadmaps, lifecycle plans, and process documentation to advance systems engineering maturity.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
3+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements, architecture, trade design).
Experience in operations and logistics modeling.
Hands-on simulation analysis (discrete event simulations, trade study models).
Strong communication skills with proven ability to build stakeholder and customer relationships.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree with 3+ years, or PhD with experience in engineering classification.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Knowledge of modeling tools such as AFSIM, LSAS, OPUS, or SIMLOX.
Background in software development, integration, testing, data science, or simulation animation.
