Electronics Technician

Schedule: Variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) based on business needs
Pay Rate: $43.05/hour
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join the E-4B Program in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will apply advanced technical expertise to troubleshoot, test, and repair complex avionics systems critical to mission success. Your work will directly support the reliability, safety, and readiness of one of the most specialized aircraft platforms in the world.
As an Electronics Technician, you will:
Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex electronic and circuit-related problems.
Conduct circuit analyses, waveform calculations, and signal flow tracing using advanced test instruments.
Perform aircraft bench and/or flight line operational testing and troubleshooting in compliance with DOD, manufacturer, and company directives.
Assemble, install, and test wire bundles and perform modifications in support of aircraft development.
Lead or assist teams on complex tasks and mentor junior employees.
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and certification standards.
Support mission-critical schedules with flexibility, including overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience with the E-4B platform.
Hands-on experience with aircraft avionics systems (Comm Nav, Data Links, Weapons, Radar, Electronic Warfare).
4+ years working with schematics, specifications, and assembly drawings.
3+ years working with aircraft computer systems and related software.
Strong applied mathematics and problem-solving skills.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with COMSEC, Radar, or Electronic Warfare Systems.
Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, or powered elevating equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in factory and flight line environments (sitting, walking, kneeling, climbing, confined spaces).
Lift up to 35 pounds independently; team lifting for heavier loads.
Comfortable working on ladders, elevated platforms, and in noisy environments.
Ability to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
