PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Avionics System Integration Engineer to join our team in partnership with a global aerospace leader. In this role, you will drive the design, integration, and support of advanced avionics test systems that ensure reliability and performance of mission-critical aviation products. Your expertise will directly support safety, innovation, and operational excellence across the aerospace industry.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and integrate production test software using Visual Basic (VB6, VB.net) and LabVIEW.

• Engineer test hardware solutions, including fixtures, cabling, and circuit cards.

• Support Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) test equipment and software (thermal and vibration).

• Capture, analyze, and document complex engineering requirements.

• Lead design reviews, ensuring compliance with technical and program requirements.

• Troubleshoot multi-rack test stations with RF and digital components (switch systems, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.).

• Prepare and present technical findings to peers, leadership, and customers.

• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement across the team.

What You Bring

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience
  OR Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience
  OR In lieu of a degree, 9+ years of relevant engineering experience.

• Strong background in systems engineering, development, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

• Proficiency in Visual Basic (VB6/VB.net) and LabVIEW.

• Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment (RF/digital systems).
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Environmental Stress Screening (thermal and vibration).

• Proven ability to generate engineering estimates for complex tasks.

• Strong communication skills with experience presenting to customers and leadership.

• Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior engineers.
