PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier aviation innovator to hire a Lead, Unscheduled Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. In this high-impact role, you’ll not only apply your technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair aircraft—you’ll also guide a skilled team, ensuring every aircraft returns to service safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.

As a key leader on the shop floor, you will:
Lead and mentor technicians, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient work practices.
Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
Accurately document all work in compliance with regulations and company standards.
Inspect and manage incoming parts to ensure regulatory and documentation requirements are met.
Support multiple disciplines, including Avionics, Structures, and Composites.
Operate ground support equipment and assist with removals and installations.
Estimate project times and delegate tasks to maximize productivity.
Oversee return-to-service processes, including at off-site locations.
Manage service orders through SAP and coordinate shipping and receiving of parts.
Demonstrate leadership in planning, organization, and compliance oversight.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues at all levels.
Prior leadership experience with the ability to train and mentor team members.
Ability to work unscheduled overtime, holidays, and in seasonal weather conditions.
Willingness to travel on short notice (up to 30 days), including internationally.
Valid driver’s license, passport, and ability to obtain necessary certifications and security credentials (SIDA badge, Ground Support Equipment certifications, etc.).
Ownership of a basic hand tool set with proper inventory and control.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and lead projects to completion.
