Assembly and Integration Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: 9/80 (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $39.39 – $73.86/hr
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading name in the Aviation Industry to hire an Assembly and Integration Engineer. This role is your chance to directly impact cutting-edge aircraft programs while working alongside experts who are pushing the boundaries of aerospace innovation.
As an Assembly and Integration Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the technical integrity and functionality of advanced aircraft systems. You will:
Perform 3D modeling of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, electrical equipment installations, and electrical supports.
Apply expertise in integrated wiring systems and assembly using 3DX.
Maintain configuration integrity of aircraft system installations, including conveyance routing, structural penetrations, and passthroughs.
Produce and refine 3D layouts to optimize routing, packaging, build, and sourcing strategies.
Coordinate system provisioning and interface requirements with Airframe Design and other IPTs.
Establish and enforce installation requirements (e.g., clearances and system separation).
Ensure compliance with DMU and 3D modeling standards.
Develop, test, and document new procedures for relational design and model-based definition techniques in 3DX.
Oversee preparation, release, and revision of 3D installation datasets, securing necessary approvals.
Track and report progress to AIT leadership.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of avionics and electrical systems installations.
Proficiency in 3DX and 3D modeling for system integration.
Ability to interpret wire diagrams, schematics, and electrical installation design.
Experience collaborating across Integrated Product Teams.
Preferred:
Familiarity with CHS Architecture.
Hands-on experience developing and refining design processes and standards.
Prior experience supporting certification and compliance activities.
