About the Role:

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Test & Evaluation Technician to support critical engineering and testing operations for a major aviation partner. In this role, you'll be on the frontlines of building, testing, and maintaining high-performance simulation and flight systems—playing a vital role in advancing modern aviation.

What You'll Do – Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

• Install and maintain Flight Simulation Systems (computers, audio/visual systems, crew stations, and rack equipment) 

• Troubleshoot and resolve electronic and hardware issues with minimal downtime 

• Plan, conduct, and document product, system, and component tests 

• Design, fabricate, and build test systems, software, and materials to meet customer specifications 

• Support test setup, integration, and teardown procedures 

• Coordinate and review test requirements and lab capabilities 

• Conduct routine and advanced data analysis and document results 

• Maintain and repair test lab equipment 

• Mentor and coach junior team members as needed 

• Work independently under general supervision 
   

What You Need to Bring – Qualifications: 

Required: 

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical fabrication or assembly 

• 3+ years working in an engineering lab or comparable military technical experience 

• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics 

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance. 

Preferred: 

• 3+ years experience with Flight Simulation systems 

• Strong background in computer hardware maintenance 

• Familiarity with Mil-Spec connector and fiber optic termination/splicing 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment with precision and care
