Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Starting Pay: $56.92 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer. In this role, you’ll play a key part in transforming complex requirements into cutting-edge system solutions, from concept to field support. You will also lead the transition of legacy C/C++ code to Python, ensuring aerospace systems remain efficient, reliable, and future-ready.
As a Design and Analysis Engineer, you will:
Collaborate with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs with precise interface specifications.
Test and validate designs to confirm operational and functional performance.
Monitor supplier performance for compliance and seamless system integration.
Provide problem-solving and support for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into aerospace applications.
Lead daily efforts in refactoring C/C++ code into Python for improved system performance.
Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
Typically 5+ years of engineering experience (Master’s degree +3 years or PhD with relevant experience also accepted).
Strong programming expertise in Python and C/C++.
Experience with GIT for version control.
Preferred:
Degree from an ABET-accredited program.
Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and innovate.
