Electrical Design Engineer

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Starting Pay Rate: $75.40 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a world-class aerospace leader, is seeking an experienced Digital and Analog Circuits and Power Supply Design Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to drive the design, analysis, and development of advanced electronic systems that power the future of aviation. In this role, you’ll lead critical projects—from hardware design to system troubleshooting—ensuring reliability, safety, and performance across complex aerospace programs.
As a Design Engineer, you will:
Lead analysis of customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications.
Drive high-level and detailed hardware design, including integrated circuits, power supply decisions, cable builds, and circuit logic.
Oversee reviews of testing and analysis to confirm compliance with engineering requirements.
Track technical performance measures to ensure program success.
Provide technical input and make/buy recommendations in support of Supplier Management.
Coordinate engineering support across the full lifecycle of aerospace products.
Plan and contribute to research projects shaping next-generation electronic system designs.
Engage in system troubleshooting and problem resolution as needed.
Required Skills/Experience:
9+ years of experience in electronic design engineering (or equivalent education/experience: PhD+4 years, Master’s+7 years).
Strong expertise in integrated circuit design (power supply, cable builds, circuit logic).
Proficiency with Zuken design tools.
Familiarity with CATIA V5 (or SolidWorks).
Understanding of the aerospace drawing release process.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred:
ABET-accredited degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
Prior experience in aerospace or other highly regulated industries.
Demonstrated ability to work under minimal direction and deliver innovative solutions.
