Aerospace Maintenance Technician
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548
Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (12 Months)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Starting Pay : $37.74 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a global aerospace leader, is seeking an experienced Aerospace Maintenance Technician. In this role, you’ll apply your hands-on expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and support some of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world. Your work will directly contribute to aircraft safety, reliability, and mission readiness.
As an Aerospace Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Performing hydraulic mechanical maintenance on fighter aircraft (F-15 experience highly preferred).
Supporting Aircraft Performance Group (APG) tasks including towing, lifting & jacking, leveling, parking, and mooring.
Troubleshooting and maintaining key systems:
Electrical Systems (Fire, Ice, Oxygen)
Engines (Pratt & Whitney or General Electric)
Engine Cooling System (ECS)
EGRESS (Emergency Global Rescue, Escape, and Survival Systems)
Fuel Systems
Hydraulic Systems
Landing Gear and General Vehicle Systems
Supporting the development, analysis, and collection of system support technical data.
Assisting in preparing technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems and components.
Contributing to evaluations of fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.
Required Skills/Experience:
Hands-on hydraulic mechanical maintenance experience on fighter aircraft (F-15 preferred).
Aircraft Performance Group (APG) familiarity.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with Pratt & Whitney or General Electric engines.
Broad familiarity with electrical, fuel, hydraulic, ECS, and EGRESS systems.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years’ experience, OR equivalent advanced education and professional experience (e.g., Master’s + 1 year, or 7+ years’ related work).
