What You’ll Do:

• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced systems and solutions.
• Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements.
• Integrate technical parameters and ensure compatibility across all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
• Perform analyses to optimize system architecture for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, and more.
• Develop and monitor requirements management processes, risk and opportunity management, and technology readiness assessments.
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues, working closely with R&M, design, and safety teams on system fault trees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust system solutions.
• Conduct system-level analyses for certification, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Support the planning and execution of requirements management and risk assessment activities.
• Ensure mission success by integrating quality factors into preferred configurations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years’ experience, OR Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience, OR PhD in Engineering.
• Proficiency with CAFTA (Computer-Aided Fault Tree Analysis).
• Prior experience with commercial airplane certification.
• Strong engineering knowledge of airplane systems.
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with cross-functional aerospace teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory and certification processes in the aerospace sector.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
