Sr Advanced Program/Project Engineer
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a top-tier aerospace organization in the Aerospace industry to find a Senior Advanced Program/Project Engineer to lead a high-impact new product development initiative in gas turbine engine systems.
In this role, you’ll wear multiple hats—Systems Project Engineer, Cost Account Manager (CAM), and RMSS Workstream Lead—all contributing to the successful design, execution, and delivery of a new centerline military turbofan engine program. As a Sr. Advanced Program/Project Engineer, you will:
Serve as CAM for the Reliability, Maintainability, and System Safety (RMSS) workstream, owning cost, budget, risk, schedule, and execution
Ensure all work aligns with key systems engineering documents such as the System Development Plan, RMVV Plan, ARP4754, and ARP4761
Lead and organize RMSS work in accordance with Agile planning principles
Act as the central point of escalation and issue resolution for RMSS challenges
Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans clearly across technical and leadership teams
Drive interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve technical, budgetary, and delivery targets
Identify and address engineering gaps, process risks, and improvement opportunities
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical preferred)
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in gas turbine engine development, design, manufacturing, or testing
Experience managing internal and external customer relationships
Prior leadership in engine module or system development programs
Proven ability to define scope, gather consensus, and resolve ambiguous challenges
Experience with ARP4754 and ARP4761
Working knowledge of Requirements-Based Engineering
Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and budget/schedule management
Project Management training (PMP certification or equivalent)
Exceptional communication and escalation skills
Strong bias toward innovation, results, and cross-functional collaboration
