PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team in partnership with a premier aerospace manufacturer. In this hands-on role, you’ll do more than just apply paint—you’ll bring aircraft to life with precision, care, and teamwork. Your work will directly contribute to the performance, protection, and appearance of cutting-edge military and commercial aircraft.

As an Aircraft Painter, you will:
Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, masking, and treating with chemical agents
Mix paint and apply coatings (paint, lacquer, epoxy, etc.) using spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other tools
Remove old paint or coatings using scrapers and liquid removers
Follow technical drawings, DPS specs, and work instructions to ensure accurate paint application
Mask surfaces and apply stencils for insignias, numerals, and lettering
Work closely with your team to meet quality and safety standards
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials properly
Operate at heights using ladders, platforms, and fall protection equipment
1+ years of experience in surface preparation and paint application
Experience sanding, masking, taping, and mixing materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
Comfortable working at heights with the ability to obtain Fall Protection Certification (OSHA compliant)
Willingness to work rotating shifts
Familiarity with hazardous chemicals and proper handling procedures
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated areas
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
1+ years’ experience painting military or commercial aircraft
Previous experience working with hazardous materials and solvents
Experience working in regulated aerospace or defense environments
