Asset Engineer – Drive Innovation in Aerospace Production

Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Asset Engineer to support a leading aerospace partner in New Orleans, LA. In this role, you’ll design, evaluate, and maintain tooling and equipment that ensure the success of production systems. Your expertise will directly influence manufacturing safety, efficiency, and readiness, contributing to groundbreaking aerospace projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Evaluate program and project requirements, developing equipment and tooling concepts to support the Production System.

• Compile and analyze technical data to assess effects on product design and production rates.

• Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomics, and regulatory standards.

• Validate contractual performance milestones, maintain configuration control, and prepare production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares plans.

• Conduct training for production and maintenance personnel.

• Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain hardware/software configurations and documentation.

• Support studies and make recommendations for asset disposition.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in tool engineering or design engineering.

• Proficiency in tooling drawings and modeling in a 3D environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using CATIA and Creo software.

• Advanced technical education or additional years of related work experience.

Pay & Schedule:

• Starting Pay : $47.43 /hour

• Location: Onsite in New Orleans, LA

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Job Type: Full-time, 12-month contract
