Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Asset Engineer to support a global aerospace leader in New Orleans, LA. In this role, you’ll design and manage innovative tooling, equipment, and production systems that directly impact aerospace manufacturing efficiency, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will help drive automation, ensure regulatory compliance, and prepare production teams for mission success.
What You’ll Do:
Evaluate program and project requirements, developing equipment and tooling concepts to support the Production System.
Compile and analyze technical data to assess effects on design and production rates.
Identify robotics, automation, and technology solutions for integration into production systems.
Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, ergonomics, maintainability, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
Validate contractual milestones, maintain configuration control, and prepare production readiness and preventative maintenance plans.
Conduct training for production and maintenance personnel.
Develop and implement solutions for hardware/software configuration and documentation.
Perform studies and recommend disposition of assets.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET preferred).
Minimum 5 years of tool engineering or design engineering experience.
Proficiency in creating tooling drawings and modeling in 3D environments.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CATIA and Creo software.
Advanced technical education or equivalent experience (Master’s, PhD, or 9+ years industry experience).

Pay & Schedule:
Pay Rate: $54.97/hour
Location: Onsite in New Orleans, LA (Building 66-102)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Type: 12-month contract, full-time
