JOB TITLE: CNC Machine Operator
LOCATION: Kinston, NC
PAY RATE: $29/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Per Diem: $110 weekly per diem available for qualified candidates (living over 100 miles from the worksite).

Summary:

Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and specifications.

Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequence of operations, required cuts, and setup methods.

Uses machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.

Performs shop computations relating to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds.

Lays out stock, marks dimensions, and assembles precision parts into equipment.

Some machines may be numerically controlled.

Produce parts or assemblies using conventional and CNC machinery while ensuring product quality.

Operate multiple machines simultaneously and perform tasks such as deburring, milling, drilling, boring, honing, grinding, and fastening.

Conduct routine minor machine maintenance (e.g., replace filters, change bulbs, maintain lubrication/coolant levels).

Move products within the immediate work area and process transactions to the next operation.

Support continuous product flow by assisting and training coworkers.

Train to become MVP qualified.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership (training provided as required).

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operation experience.

Ability to work any assigned shift.

Must be able to stand and work for an entire 8-hour shift.

Aerospace experience preferred.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
