Location: Washington D.C. - work is ONSITE so candidates MUST be local
Contract Length: 12 months, likely to extend
Shift: MON-FRI, 8 AM-5 PM
Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Responsibilities generally include:
•Leading and managing engineering projects from conception to completion.
•Designing, developing, and testing products, systems, or structures.
•Conducting research and analysis to solve complex engineering problems.
•Preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and reports.
•Evaluating and selecting materials and equipment for projects.
•Participating in project planning and management activities.
•Performing calculations and simulations to support engineering designs.
•Collaborating with other engineers, professionals, and stakeholders on project teams.
•Ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
•Mentoring and providing guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
•10 to 15 years experience in engineering and electrical utility projects.
•Technical/Software experience with STAAD, MathCad, and L Pile
•A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or Structural
•The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of steel, concrete, and storm water management
Pay Details: $60.00 to $75.00 per hour
