In this role, you’ll provide critical import guidance that ensures compliance with U.S. regulations while supporting seamless international business activities. Your expertise will help shape global trade practices, streamline processes, and unlock cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and update company policies and procedures related to import compliance.
Design, implement, and maintain systems to qualify products/transactions for tariff reductions under special trade programs.
Oversee and manage Customs brokers and freight forwarders.
Review import transactions to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Participating Government Agency requirements.
Conduct audits and self-assessments to strengthen compliance standards.
Deliver training programs to enhance global trade knowledge across the organization.
Assess and execute opportunities to reduce annual tariff expenses.
Bachelor’s degree.
5–7 years of global trade compliance experience.
Proven ability to lead tariff reduction initiatives under special trade programs.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Demonstrated success in working through complex issues across teams, departments, and external partners.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
Sound judgment, discretion, and problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred:
Licensed Customs Broker.
Familiarity with SAP, ENOVIA, ACE, and Business Objects.
