Location: Kinston, NC 28504
Job Type: Full-time, Consultant (6 Months)
Schedule: Monday to Friday; primarily 1st shift with occasional 2nd shift (3p–11p) coverage
Pay Rate: $35–$37 per hour + $110 weekly per diem (if residing 100+ miles from site)
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Consultant to partner with a leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring seamless synchronization of supply chains, supporting on-time delivery, and reducing variability across materials and processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and the success of high-impact aerospace programs.
Manage inventory systems, forecasting data, and procurement orders to ensure balanced supply and demand.
Monitor customer inventory demand, material assets, and delivery timelines to optimize supply chain operations.
Incorporate supplier and customer planning decisions to minimize variability and achieve optimal outcomes.
Negotiate lead times with suppliers and oversee schedules to ensure timely delivery of spares and materials.
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, customer support, engineering, quality, logistics, and warehousing teams.
Utilize ERP/SAP systems for material handling, inventory management, and process optimization.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience, or MBA with 1–3 years of experience.
Strong background in supply chain, logistics, material handling, expediting, and inventory control.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), inventory management, and cycle counting.
Ability to work primarily 1st shift with flexibility for occasional 2nd shift needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive results under tight deadlines.
