Chipton-Ross is seeking a Drafter 2/3 for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Basic Qualifications for Drafter Level 2 include a High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. • Basic Qualifications for Drafter Level 3 include a High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. • CATIA V5, NX, CADAM, CADEX. GD&T. • Good Communication Skills, good work completion, and problem solving. • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher. Required to start. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and maintain system and sub-system drawing packages. • Plans, layouts, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics. • Incorporate redlines from engineering team. • Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, CAM or CATIA. • Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices. • Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; • Contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Associates Degree or higher.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: • High school diploma is required. • School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: 9/80 workweek. On-site. 7AM - 5PM.
