FAA Assembly & Test Technician – Join a Leading Aerospace Team!
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a FAA Assembly & Test Technician for a position at our Rocky Mount, NC facility. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of sophisticated electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems for aircraft and helicopter engines in both commercial and military applications.
What You’ll Do
As a FAA Assembly & Test Technician, you will:
- Use precision tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment to perform assembly, in-process inspections, calibration, and testing of hydro-mechanical fuel controls in an aerospace production/quality environment.
- Follow electronic work instructions, engineering and quality procedures, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform visual inspections of parts and products for quality.
- Detect and report faulty operations, defective tools, and materials.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Maintain work areas and tools according to Visual Management and 5S standards.
- Participate in daily Tier meetings, continuous improvement, and rapid problem-solving initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow detailed assembly and test instructions and interpret blueprints/drawings.
- Proficiency with precision measuring devices (micrometers, dial indicators, calipers).
- Ability to work with various hand tools.
- Basic computer skills and intermediate math skills.
- 2–3 years of experience in an assembly and/or test manufacturing environment.
- Associates degree or North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold).
- Six Sigma training or certification.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
- Knowledge of 5S principles and experience in continuous improvement activities.

- Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
- Shift: 3rd Shift – 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Training on 1st shift OJT)
- Bonus Program: Up to $3,000
- $1,000 at 14 days with perfect attendance

- $1,000 at 90 days (must have received prior bonuses)

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
