Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Equipment & Tool Engineer (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Auburn, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET is a preferred, although not required, accreditation standard) and 5 or more years’ related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master's degree + 3 years’ work experience)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Asset Integration/Systems focused position will support exciting new endeavors in the Fabrication Division. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
• Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
• Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.
• Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability.
• Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation.
• Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
• 3 or more years of project management experience supporting complex technical projects, evaluating/selecting equipment solutions, and assessing spare parts inventory in a production environment
• 2 or more years of experience working with hardware, software, and documentation configuration management
• 3 or more years of experience working to industry standards including compliance with hardware and safety codes
• Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques
• Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across diverse teams

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Long hours on feet.
• Ability to be on manufacturing floor wearing steel toed shoes

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'
related work experience). In the USA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
