Chipton-Ross is seeking a Equipment & Tool Engineer (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Auburn, WA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET is a preferred, although not required, accreditation standard) and 5 or more years related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master's degree + 3 years work experience)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: This Asset Integration/Systems focused position will support exciting new endeavors in the Fabrication Division. Duties may include (but are not limited to): Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System. Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates. Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers. Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability. Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation. Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): 3 or more years of project management experience supporting complex technical projects, evaluating/selecting equipment solutions, and assessing spare parts inventory in a production environment 2 or more years of experience working with hardware, software, and documentation configuration management 3 or more years of experience working to industry standards including compliance with hardware and safety codes Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques Ability to learn in a fast paced environment Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across diverse teams
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Long hours on feet. Ability to be on manufacturing floor wearing steel toed shoes
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
