PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking detail-oriented Manufacturing Planners to join the team in Huntsville, AL. With opportunities on both A and B shifts, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining manufacturing plans, tools, and processes that ensure precision, efficiency, and on-time delivery in critical aerospace programs.
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and illustrations.
Review and integrate supplier data to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements.
Identify tooling needs, initiate tooling orders, and assist with tooling dispositions.
Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues of limited scope.
Conduct reproducibility assessments for part or product designs.
Provide input into design, manufacturing processes, and technologies to meet cost and schedule requirements.
Develop work statements and event sequencing to support delivery commitments.
Review, maintain, and monitor internal documentation.
Collaborate across teams under general supervision to support efficient production.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing planning and production support.
Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
Ability to read, interpret, and enforce standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Associate’s degree in a STEM discipline.
Experience in Model-Based Design and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Familiarity with MESci or similar manufacturing systems.
Knowledge of MRP systems (e.g., CompassContract).
Experience with Windchill or other engineering management databases.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Level 2: 2+ years related work experience or equivalent technical education.
Level 3: 5+ years related work experience or equivalent technical education.
Location: Huntsville, AL (onsite)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Thursday (4x10 shifts)
A Shift: 6:00 AM – ~4:30 PM (10 hours)
B Shift: 4:00 PM – ~2:00 AM (10 hours, training initially on A Shift)
