Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Planner 2 for a contract opportunity in Huntsville, AL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Ability to obtain security clearance is required for this position. • 2+ Years experience in manufacturing planning & production support. • Experience in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools. • Experience reading, interpreting, and enforcing standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawing and process procedures. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. • Assists with development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. • Assists in reviewing supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met. • Identifies tooling requirements and initiates tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements. • Assists in tooling dispositions. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues of limited scope. Assists with reproducibility assessments for part or product designs. • Assists in providing input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules. • Develops work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments. • Assists in the review, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents. • Works under general supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • STEM focused Associate's degree. • Experience in Model-Based Design. • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. • Experience in MESci or similar Manufacturing system. • Experience in Material Resource Planning (MRP) Systems (eg. CompassContract). • Experience in CAD software suites. • Experience in Windchill or similar engineering management databases. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the • ability to present complex technical concepts to various audiences.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: • Accredited AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Level 2: 2 or more related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
WORK HOURS: 4x10 schedule Monday-Thursday. • This is for A and B shift (1st and 2nd, one candidate for each): • A Shift - Start 6 am (10 Hour Shift). End time 4:30 PM • B Shift - Start 4 pm (10 Hour Shift). End time 2 AM (can be flexible with start and end times by an hour or so but those are the main core hours). • B shift worker will start out training during A shift then move to B shift once training has been completed.
ADDITIONAL: • Possible OT.
