JOB TITLE: Procurement Engineer

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Clearance: Ability to obtain secret clearance

Shift: 4/10 1st Shift

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to solve producibility, quality, inspection, and test issues

Conduct part/product acceptance inspections and verification planning

Review supplier manufacturing processes and quality plans

Perform defect root cause analysis and verify corrective actions

Recommend design changes to mitigate production issues

Analyze defect trends and make risk-based decisions

Foster positive working relationships with cross-functional teams and suppliers

Work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Utilize technical documentation to review vendor part requirements (drawings, specifications, change documentation)

Apply working knowledge of mechanical/electro-mechanical hardware and associated manufacturing processes and inspections

Requirements:

Ability to obtain secret clearance

Bachelor s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience

4+ years of professional experience

Maintain familiarity with ISO9001 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems, including AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements

Working knowledge of EPDM, SAP, COS, and P2P systems

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
