Summary:
Plan and lead processes to develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define/document as-built configurations
Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives, including build analyses and cost estimates
Lead integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements
Participate in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met
Develop tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering needs; manage tooling from design through end-of-life
Investigate and resolve complex or systemic manufacturing-related issues
Lead producibility assessments of design concepts and support enterprise-level benchmarking to incorporate best practices
Prepare complex work statements and sequencing of events to meet delivery commitments
Create scheduling templates, and draft/update processes and procedures to support business and regulatory requirements
Document new job practices, techniques, and standards
Work under minimal direction
This is a non-managerial, non-leadership role.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
AA degree in a related discipline and typically 6+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
8+ years of manufacturing planning experience
8+ years of CAD software experience
Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings and specifications
Strong skills in analyzing and interpreting engineering data
Knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes
Proficient with Microsoft Office and related computer skills
Ability to obtain customer access approval (dual or prior foreign citizenship may preclude access)
Must pass a 3rd-party background check covering finances, residences, employment, drug use, military service, and criminal history
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
