PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly and Installation) – Level 3 to join our partner, a leader in the aerospace industry. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth assembly and installation processes. Key responsibilities include:
Implementing design and build plan changes while minimizing disruption and capturing maximum benefits.
Supporting the Build Integration process by providing visibility of design changes, risks, and milestones.
Developing and implementing detailed manufacturing and installation plans.
Creating installation planning and providing shipside support in San Antonio.
Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in producibility studies, process optimization, and advanced design solutions.
Overseeing and approving technical approaches, products, and processes.
Facilitating collaboration and integration across affected teams and stakeholders.
Participating in process and tool improvement projects to enhance team performance.
Documenting and communicating best practices in producibility and manufacturing engineering.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (ABET) with 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2–3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
2–3+ years of experience supporting the development of engineering technical data packages for aircraft parts and components.
2–3+ years of experience in professional/technical writing and problem-solving within cross-functional teams.
Experience with CATIA.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
2–3+ years of experience with IVT.
Experience with GoldEsp.
Prior manufacturing engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
