PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-driven Design Engineer to support the Electronics Packaging department in Chandler, AZ. In this fast-paced role, you’ll collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to design and deliver critical components that power cutting-edge aerospace systems.
You’ll be at the intersection of engineering design and real-world application—contributing directly to the success of next-generation launch vehicles.
What You’ll Do
Create and release 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies related to launch vehicle avionics using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
Support the design and drafting of electrical printed wiring assemblies (PWAs).
Prepare digital product definition packages in compliance with ASME Y14.41, using PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) within NX and Teamcenter.
Collaborate daily with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to ensure cohesive system design.
Maintain consistent communication with Responsible Engineers regarding design progress and updates.
What You Bring
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience, or a minimum of 2 years of related engineering design experience.
Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter for modeling, drafting, and release of mechanical components.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5-2009.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using PMI for digital product definitions in Siemens NX.
Experience drafting electrical assemblies (PWAs).
Familiarity with avionics systems and their integration in flight vehicles.
ASME GDTP Certification is a plus.

Pay Details: $45.34 per hour
