Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (5 AM–11:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $43.05/hr ($37.96/hr + $5.09 H&W)
PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic – Structural to join the E-4B program in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in structural maintenance and modifications to ensure aircraft readiness, safety, and performance. Your work will directly contribute to supporting critical aerospace missions.
As an Aircraft Mechanic – Structural, you will:
Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation of structural components.
Execute sealing, painting, shimming, and preservation of aircraft structures.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications to perform modifications and repairs.
Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modifications.
Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components and non-complex electrical systems.
Utilize aircraft-specific tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and sheet metal equipment.
Access aircraft data via computer systems to initiate parts and discrepancy requests.
Work safely in compliance with Hazardous Energy, Lock Out/Tag procedures, and site tool protocols.
Support cross-functional teams to ensure cost and schedule targets are achieved.
4+ years’ experience working with aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
4+ years’ experience reading schematics, specifications, and assembly drawings.
4+ years’ experience with structures hand tools (e.g., drills, rivet guns, countersink cages).
4+ years’ experience in heavy structures work (locating, drilling, countersinking, fastening).
Ability to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance (E-4B or Depot level).
Experience with titanium aircraft structures.
Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and elevating equipment.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and perform frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and overhead work.
Work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, and around noise, sealants, and solvents.
Tolerance for extended standing, walking, and balance work on uneven surfaces.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
