Aircraft Mechanic General

Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (5 AM–11:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $43.05/hr ($37.96/hr + $5.09 H&W)
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a global aerospace leader, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic – General to join the E-4B team in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems to ensure safety, reliability, and mission readiness.
As an Aircraft Mechanic – General, you will:
Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures, components, and flight systems.
Work with engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, fuel systems, and power plant systems to diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
Interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and manuals to complete precise repairs.
Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, sealing, painting, shimming, and preservation of aircraft structures.
Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modifications and repairs.
Ascend and descend vertical ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Ensure safety compliance using Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems.
Collaborate with mechanics, avionics, and electrical team members to meet cost and schedule goals.
4+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, or structural/mechanical systems.
Hands-on experience with hand tools and aircraft systems (hydraulic, flight control, fuel, engines, etc.).
Ability to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with E-4B aircraft or depot-level heavy maintenance.
Experience operating forklifts and electric powered elevating equipment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in elevated/confined spaces.
Lift up to 35 lbs. (occasionally with a two-person lift).
Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing ladders/stands, reaching overhead, and working in noisy environments.
Contact with sealants, solvents, metals, and atmospheric conditions.
