PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team, partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will help develop and implement advanced systems engineering processes and tools that support digital sustainment, decision-making, and operational efficiency for current and future programs. Your work will directly impact fleet performance, mission readiness, and the quality of aerospace operations for both government and commercial customers.
As a Systems Engineer, you will:
Develop, document, and verify customer requirements to support sustainment trade studies and decision analysis.
Build and analyze simulation models to evaluate sustainment strategies, fleet performance, lifecycle costs, and logistics networks.
Translate stakeholder scenarios into actionable trade study requests using standardized tools.
Coordinate with customers, presenting analysis results in the Virtual Sustainment Center (VSC).
Support model optimization, release testing, and capability enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and data scientists, to ensure effective solutions.
Contribute to system lifecycle plans, product roadmaps, and team documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
1+ years of systems engineering experience (requirements definition, architecture design, verification, and trade design).
Experience in operations and logistics modeling.
Simulation analysis experience (discrete event simulations and trade study models).
Strong ability to build and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Agile development experience.
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Experience in logistics support, modeling, and simulation analysis (AFSIM, supply chain).
Background in software development, integration, testing, data science, or simulation animation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
