Production/Material Planner
PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a skilled and detail-driven Production/Material Planner to join the team in Bohemia, NY. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring that supply, demand, and production schedules align seamlessly to meet customer requirements and business goals.

Job Type: Full time; Contract (12 Months) Temp to Perm
Location: Bohemia, NY, 11716
Schedule: Monday to Friday; First Shift 8AM-4:30PM
Pay Rate: $50.03 per hour
Manage scheduling activities and monitor production timelines.
Plan, schedule, and maintain sales plans and production orders.
Develop and manage work orders, ensuring accurate due dates from start to closure.
Conduct Can-Build analyses and assess pre-order requests for material and labor availability.
Monitor customer requirements and create level-loaded Master Production Schedules (MPS).
Maintain SIOP capacity profiles and optimize inventory levels for service and efficiency.
Lead and participate in cross-functional production meetings.
Develop weekly and monthly sales estimates for assigned product lines.
Manage Item Master planning parameters and shortage management processes.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by preparing planning bills of materials, coordinating prototype builds, and contributing to production readiness.
Education:
University degree + 5 years relevant experience, or
Advanced degree + 3 years relevant experience, or
In lieu of a degree, 9 years relevant experience.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience & Skills:
Background in production or material planning/forecasting in aerospace or manufacturing.
Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) with ability to analyze large datasets.
Understanding of bills of materials and technical drawings.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred: Familiarity with Lean or Kaizen process improvement methodologies (certification not required).
