Pay Rate: $17.61 per hour

About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support a surge of work in the aerospace manufacturing sector. In this role, you will contribute to the build and installation of subassemblies for flight simulators—critical components that prepare pilots for real-world missions. Your craftsmanship and precision will directly impact safety, performance, and innovation in the aerospace industry.

What You’ll Do

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.

• Perform mechanical assembly for flight simulators, including subassemblies and installations.

• Use basic hand tools, drills, measuring equipment, and light machinery.

• Conduct quality checks, identify defects, and complete rework or repairs to meet engineering specifications.

• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling.

• Maintain accurate workstation inventory and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Perform finishing tasks such as molding, sanding, or cutting acrylic.

• Work onsite daily, with occasional travel (up to 15% annually) for projects of up to one month.

• Adhere to strict safety and quality standards at all times.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experience.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Proficiency with basic hand tools, drills, and measuring devices.

• Ability to climb up to 6 feet and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

• Willingness to work 100% onsite and travel up to 15% as needed.

• Must provide your own steel-toed boots.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical skills with strong attention to detail.

• Experience working independently with minimal supervision.

• Aerospace or manufacturing background.
