Starting Pay Rate: $68.58  per hour

About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in aerospace to hire a Production Pilot in Mesa, AZ. In this critical role, you will conduct production acceptance testing and in-flight troubleshooting of the AH-64 Apache helicopter, ensuring airworthiness and reliability before delivery. Your expertise will directly support the performance and safety of one of the world’s most advanced aircraft.

What You’ll Do

• Perform Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC), in-flight troubleshooting, verifications, and Maintenance Test Flights (MTF).

• Validate aircraft airworthiness after production build, repairs, or modifications.

• Conduct flight briefings for crew members and maintenance personnel.

• Utilize AH-64E IETM, Operator’s Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, and Check-List Manual.

• Support flight operations with a focus on safety, precision, and compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of U.S. Army AH-64E Apache Longbow Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC) or equivalent contractor-approved training.

• Minimum 1,000 flight hours as AH-64D/E Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

• Current Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical (6+ months remaining at hire).

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of AH-64 Aviation Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase I & II or DES-approved equivalency.

• Minimum 100 flight hours as AH-64D/E Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP).

• Prior experience as an AH-64D/E Maintenance Examiner (ME) or Technical Inspector.

• Experience in desert operations with AH-64E helicopters.

• 10+ years of aviation maintenance experience, including supervisory and production control leadership.

• Familiarity with ULLS-A(E)/ACN or similar aviation maintenance management systems.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (with experience as outlined).
