JOB TITLE: Cable Assembly - TEST
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $27/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Shift: 4/10 schedule Mon Thurs, 5:00 AM 3:30 PM EST. Overtime possible on weekends.

Summary:

Perform cable builds and assembly in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical areas.

Responsibilities include setup, troubleshooting, calibration, diagnostics, equipment maintenance, and cable testing.

Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions.

Operate test equipment, conduct HIPOT and continuity testing, and document results in prescribed formats.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

1 2 years of cable assembly and testing experience (HIPOT, harness, soldering, copper/coax wiring)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wire harness prints, diagrams, and process instructions

Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills (hobbies like soldering or model-building a plus)

Mechanical/electrical assembly of modules, boards, panels, and frames

Quality inspection, rework, and testing of prototype assemblies

Cable harness and soldering experience

Experience using hand/power tools, crimping, stripping, and assembly operations

Strong writing and computer skills; English reading/writing required

Familiarity with IPC 610/620 standards preferred (IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification a plus)

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
