A&P Mechanic
Pay Range: $23.72 – $37.96/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a global leader in the aviation industry, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Tallahassee, FL. This role is responsible for performing complex maintenance, repair, and installation tasks to ensure aircraft meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational readiness.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial helicopters.
Install aftermarket kits and systems, including air conditioning units, sliding doors, rescue hoists, and FAST rope systems.
Conduct major and minor repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, including sheet metal and composite fabrication.
Disassemble and reassemble aircraft as required, supporting post-maintenance flight testing.
Fabricate mounting provisions for avionics installations.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.
Train and assist junior mechanics, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Collaborate within a team environment to meet project schedules and client requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
Minimum of 2 years of commercial helicopter maintenance experience, preferably within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting installation instructions, maintenance manuals, and engineering blueprints.
Experience with sheet metal and composite repairs, structural modifications, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to accurately measure, drill, and modify aircraft structures without causing damage to surrounding components.
Must provide personal tools required for assigned tasks.
Availability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to sit, stand, crawl, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
