Advance Aerospace Innovation – Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer!

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and optimization of cutting-edge inertial sensor technologies in the Aerospace sector. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a passion for precision manufacturing and process improvement.

About the Role
As a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and refining manufacturing processes for Ring Laser Gyroscopes (RLGs) and MEMS-based inertial sensors and IMUs. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production, drive yield improvements, and implement engineering best practices in a dynamic, high-tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide test and manufacturing support for RLG and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP).

• Analyze yield and performance data to monitor process capability and drive improvements.

• Apply CAMP, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to standardize engineering practices.

• Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitating root cause analysis.

• Develop product and process improvements to reduce cost and cycle time.

• Support new product development and test equipment maintenance planning.

• Promote a self-driven workforce culture to meet SQDIC goals (RTY, BIQ, COPQ).

• Conduct product and software testing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in product or process engineering.

• Hands-on experience with product assembly and testing.

• Familiarity with optics, sensors, and electronic assemblies.

• Proven track record in product yield management and improvement.

• Experience with glass machining, polishing, mirrors, precision assembly, and electronics testing.

• Strong documentation skills, including process creation, change control, and tracking.
