JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic IV - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Brunswick, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Perform assembly, fitting, drilling, riveting, and fabrication of detail parts and structures

    Use blueprints, lofts, sketches, and work orders to determine operations, rivet types, hole patterns, and procedures for adhesives/sealants

    Inspect all work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection

    Mentor and train team members in blueprint interpretation, assembly techniques, and problem-solving

    Maintain logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs, etc.)

    Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners

    Perform repairs and rework per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs to ensure conformity

    Plan and organize workloads, resource requirements, and material procurement to meet or exceed goals

    Maintain a neat and safe work area, supporting 5S, Lean initiatives, and safety policies

    Assist with Lean activities and continuous improvement efforts

    Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

    High School Diploma or GED required

    6+ years related structural assembly experience

    Experience with Solumnia and Smarteam preferred

    Q-stamp preferred

    Skilled in close-tolerance work and use of special tools and measuring devices

    Able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and technical instructions

    Basic computer skills and software knowledge

    Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders/stands/stairs, and work in confined or restricted spaces

    Must be able to work any shift and communicate effectively in English

    Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
