Flightline Aircraft Mechanic
Play a hands-on role in preparing aircraft for the skies.
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking Flightline Aircraft Mechanics (FRT – Level B) to join our team, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry. Based in San Antonio, TX, this role offers the opportunity to perform essential final installation, testing, and inspections that ensure aircraft are safe, reliable, and ready for delivery. Your work will directly support the performance and safety of cutting-edge aerospace programs.
As a Flightline Aircraft Mechanic, you will:
Perform final component installations and systems operational functional testing.
Conduct rework, modifications, maintenance, preflight, and post-flight checks for delivery.
Inspect aircraft, identify/document non-conformances, and perform corrective actions.
Follow detailed verbal and written instructions to ensure compliance and precision.
Support field and flight line operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED (or equivalent).
Minimum 3 months of experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.
Ability to work variable shifts (1st and 2nd), including nights and weekends.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working at heights.
Ability to use protective gear and pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
FAA Airframe & Power Plant license.
1+ years of related aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience.
Experience with the 787 Program or the aerospace Production System.
Background in field or flight line operations.
