PDS Tech Commercial is seeking mechanically skilled and detail-oriented FAA Assembly & Test Technicians to support aerospace manufacturing operations in Rocky Mount, NC for our client Honeywell. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to quality and safety in a regulated FAA environment.

About the Role
As a FAA Assembly & Test Technician, you’ll work on sophisticated electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems for aircraft and helicopter engines. You’ll perform precision assembly, in-process inspections, calibration, and testing in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Use precision tools and measuring equipment to assemble and test hydro-mechanical fuel controls.

• Follow electronic work instructions, engineering procedures, and blueprints.

• Perform visual inspections and detect faulty operations or materials.

• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to quality procedures.

• Participate in daily tier meetings and continuous improvement activities.

• Maintain work areas using 5S and Visual Management standards.

• Work overtime and weekends as needed (pre-approval required).

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

• Must reside within 50 miles of Rocky Mount, NC (no relocation offered).

• Vision testing must be completed within the first week of assignment.

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).

• Mechanical and technical experience.

• Ability to interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions.

• Proficiency with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges).

• Basic computer skills and intermediate math skills.

• Ability to work in a team environment and lift up to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in aerospace assembly and/or testing.

• Associates degree or technical certification.

• Six Sigma training or certification.

• North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold).

• Experience with 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
