Summary:

Set up and operate machines for sheet metal, extrusion, and tube fabrication.

Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly using carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other lightweight aerospace materials.

Operate automated lay-up equipment and conduct hand-lay-up processes with fabrication tooling and NC equipment.

Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components, power plants, and drive trains.

Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for various tests.

Conduct basic chemical conversion, paint preparation, and apply protective coatings.

Select appropriate parts, tools, materials, and hardware per engineering drawings, blueprints, and planning requirements.

Identify and report workmanship errors, defects, or process issues in accordance with company procedures.

Work on articles of moderate complexity following established requirements.

Maintain strict safety standards, including the use of PPE (safety glasses, respirators, harnesses, boot socks, etc.) 100% of the time.

Uphold high housekeeping and FOD standards; maintain a clean and organized work area.

Communicate effectively with other shifts to coordinate tasks.

Requirements:

5+ years experience in drilling sheet metal, composite, and titanium.

High school diploma or GED required.

Typically 1+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
