PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a globally recognized leader in the aviation industry to find a Facilities Maintenance Technician who thrives on solving problems and keeping facilities in top working condition. In this critical support role, you’ll help ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of buildings, infrastructure, and equipment. Your work will directly contribute to creating a productive, secure, and high-functioning environment for employees and visitors alike.
What You’ll Be Doing — Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance (30%)
Perform scheduled PM tasks across building systems: HVAC, electrical, welding, plumbing, fire systems, production equipment, and more.
Conduct facility walk-throughs to detect and address potential issues early.
Maintain detailed records for PM activities and equipment tracking.
Repairs & Troubleshooting (30%)
Respond swiftly to maintenance emergencies and diagnose root causes.
Repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Monitor and complete work orders through the Facilities Service Center.
General Maintenance (30%)
Handle carpentry, painting, drywall, door and lock work, HVAC, and plumbing tasks.
Support event setups, tool control, and cleanliness of work areas.
Assist in installing new facilities equipment as needed.
Additional Duties:
Coordinate with external vendors.
Actively participate in safety programs and continuous improvement efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and maintenance
Ability to interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics
General proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office
Valid State Driver’s License
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 lbs and work in various physical positions
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred:
Certification from technical/vocational school (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
5+ years as an environmental compliance technician
