This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Job Title: Electrical Installer
Job Type: Full-Time (12-month contract)
Location: North Charleston, SC 29418
Pay Rate: $31.09 – $39.60 per hour
Schedule: Must be available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on business needs
What You'll Do:
As a key contributor to complex aircraft systems, you'll perform essential electrical installation tasks, ensuring precision and performance across all areas of assembly. Your responsibilities will include:
Routing wire harnesses per blueprint instructions and technical specifications
Building and splicing wires; crimping and terminating wire ends
Installing connectors to receptacles and electronic components
Performing fiber optic cleaning, inspection, light loss testing, and installation
Conducting bonding and grounding operations including resistance testing
Carrying out rework and repairs as directed by engineering updates
Required Qualifications:
7+ years experience using software tools such as Microsoft Suite, email, or other specialized applications
7+ years reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions (in English)
7+ years in advanced manufacturing, mechanical, or technical environments using hand and pneumatic tools
Experience with various wiring design documents, including system interconnects and installation drawings
Education / Experience:
Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and 4 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school + 2 years’ related work, Associate degree + 2 years’ experience, Bachelor’s degree, etc.).
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Frequent kneeling, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces
Comfortable working with high-hazard chemicals
Must be able to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) as required by business needs
