Production Tech Operator – CCA Class 3 Solder (2nd Shift)
Location: Tucson, AZ
Pay: $21/hr + $2/hr shift differential after transfer to 2nd shift
Schedule: 2nd Shift – Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (OT Available)  Train on 1st shift for 30–60 days before moving to 2nd shift

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a skilled Production Technical Operator to join our partner, a leader in the manufacturing industry, at their Tucson, AZ facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in assembling and soldering high-quality products that meet rigorous aerospace and manufacturing standards.

This position requires Class 3 soldering experience and the ability to train on 1st shift before moving permanently to 2nd shift.

What You’ll Do

• Perform Class 3 hand soldering, manual assembly, and operation of automated assembly/test equipment.

• Conduct inspection and repair of circuit card assemblies (CCA).

• Set up and maintain machines, feeders, and soldering tools, performing first-line preventative maintenance.

• Identify and resolve problems in the assembly process or with components.

• Ensure compliance with product quality standards, soldering specifications, and SMT processing systems.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.

• Collaborate with supervisors, co-workers, and team members to meet tight deadlines and production goals.

What You’ll Bring

• Required: Class 3 soldering experience.

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in PCB assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of board assembly processes, product flow, and soldering specifications.

• Ability to set up, calibrate, and maintain assembly and soldering equipment.

• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Proficiency with computers (Excel, Word, documentation systems).

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional technical coursework preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to perform repetitive motions requiring dexterity and hand/eye coordination.

• Standing or sitting for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

• Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and temperature changes.

• Ability to lift and move materials as required.
