Production Tech Operator – CCA Class 3 Solder (2nd Shift)
Location: Tucson, AZ
Pay: $21/hr + $2/hr shift differential after transfer to 2nd shift
Schedule: 2nd Shift – Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (OT Available) Train on 1st shift for 30–60 days before moving to 2nd shift
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a skilled Production Technical Operator to join our partner, a leader in the manufacturing industry, at their Tucson, AZ facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in assembling and soldering high-quality products that meet rigorous aerospace and manufacturing standards.
This position requires Class 3 soldering experience and the ability to train on 1st shift before moving permanently to 2nd shift.
Perform Class 3 hand soldering, manual assembly, and operation of automated assembly/test equipment.
Conduct inspection and repair of circuit card assemblies (CCA).
Set up and maintain machines, feeders, and soldering tools, performing first-line preventative maintenance.
Identify and resolve problems in the assembly process or with components.
Ensure compliance with product quality standards, soldering specifications, and SMT processing systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.
Collaborate with supervisors, co-workers, and team members to meet tight deadlines and production goals.
Required: Class 3 soldering experience.
4–5 years of relevant experience in PCB assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing.
Strong understanding of board assembly processes, product flow, and soldering specifications.
Ability to set up, calibrate, and maintain assembly and soldering equipment.
Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Proficiency with computers (Excel, Word, documentation systems).
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional technical coursework preferred.
Ability to perform repetitive motions requiring dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
Standing or sitting for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and temperature changes.
Ability to lift and move materials as required.
