Aircraft Mechanic
$40/hr | 9-Month Contract | San Antonio, TX | Partner with a Global Aerospace Leader
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking Experienced Aircraft Mechanics to support Defense, Space & Security’s Executive Fleet team in San Antonio, TX. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise to high-profile aerospace programs while working with a world-class team dedicated to precision, safety, and innovation.
As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring aircraft readiness and mission success through advanced electrical and avionics work. You’ll be responsible for:
Performing connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring
Routing, sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closing wire harnesses and cables per standards
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, and retrofit requirements to perform modifications and repairs
Installing, inspecting, modifying, and testing wire bundles and electrical assemblies
Troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and comms/nav systems at both organizational and depot maintenance levels
Operating powered elevating equipment and using tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level modifications
Performing quality checks, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining required certifications
10+ years of experience in electrical/electronic theory and avionics systems
10+ years of experience with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and SOPs
10+ years of experience installing, repairing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems
Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), including weekends and overtime as needed
Avionics experience
Depot-level or modification maintenance experience
FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certification
Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and powered elevating equipment
