Chipton-Ross is seeking a Robotics Engineer for a contract opportunity in Manassas, VA.
This position is 100% onsite. There is an opportunity to be hired full-time with the client.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): -5+ years of experience in robotics, automation, or a related field, with a focus on high-volume, low-mix manufacturing environments -Proficiency in PLC programming, with experience in industrial robot programming and integration (Fanuc and Epson experience highly preferred) S-trong understanding of manufacturing principles, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies -Experience with machine tending and automation of manual stations -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: -Design, develop, and implement robotic automation solutions for manufacturing processes -Program and integrate Fanuc and Epson robots with existing manufacturing systems, utilizing PLC programming expertise -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement -Develop and maintain documentation for robotic systems and processes -Optimize and maintain the production line to ensure maximum uptime and throughput, while maintaining high-quality standards -Work closely with the support team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: -Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Statistical Process Control (SPC) -Experience with other industrial robots and automation systems -Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams -Proven track record of increasing efficiency and productivity in a manufacturing environment
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
WORK HOURS: Full-Time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift
