Region Crisis Management Coordinator

PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a renowned aviation industry leader, is seeking a Region Crisis Management Coordinator to join a dynamic and high-impact team based in Herndon, VA.
In this critical role, you’ll serve as the link between crisis management teams and business stakeholders across North America. Your mission will be to ensure that teams are trained, equipped, and ready to respond effectively to any crisis. From supporting crisis exercises to driving communication and readiness initiatives, you'll be a key player in reinforcing operational continuity and building a strong culture of preparedness throughout the region.
What You’ll Do – Day to Day
You’ll be at the heart of crisis management operations, supporting the full life cycle of preparedness, response, and recovery:
Governance & Compliance
Maintain and update crisis management databases, team rosters, and manuals.
Partner with site coordinators to ensure training, drills, and regulatory compliance.
Drive continuous improvement via After Action Reports and corrective action follow-ups.
Training, Exercises & Real-Time Response
Organize and facilitate regional crisis and Family Care team meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
Serve as trainer, observer, or Crisis Management Team (CMT) specialist during exercises and real events.
Coordinate documentation and feedback from simulations and activations.
Awareness & Communication
Promote a culture of preparedness through engaging presentations and regional outreach.
Deliver crisis communication training and manage emergency notification tools.
Monitor global events and assess their impact on affiliates.
Monitoring & Special Projects
Track and evaluate unfolding crises using open-source and internal tools.
Support cross-functional initiatives involving cyber resilience, product safety, and risk mitigation.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
2+ years’ experience in Crisis or Emergency Management
Knowledge of risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and business impact analysis
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to travel domestically/internationally up to 10%
Proficiency in English
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred:
Master’s degree
2+ years in program management
Certifications: CBCP, DRI, AEM, or CEM
Experience with business continuity planning and crisis simulation exercises
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
Additional language skills (French, German, Spanish)
